We’re on the hunt for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to join our forward-thinking, dynamic property business and take charge of growing Umega’s portfolio by leading our New Business team.

We are seeking a highly motivated, confident, and energetic Operations Manager to lead the charge in growing our landlord portfolio. We’re looking for someone with a strong track record in sales and team management who thrives on creating and implementing strategies that deliver outstanding results. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact as we expand our reach and strengthen relationships with landlords.

You’ll be responsible for driving growth, leading a team of New Business team, building and implementing strategies to grow our portfolio, and monitoring performance metrics. You’ll also play a key role in understanding and improving landlord retention, working closely with other Operations Managers and team leaders to identify and address reasons for landlord exits. This is a pivotal role for a sales-focused leader who wants to be at the heart of an innovative and ambitious business.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead New Business Growth

  • Line-manage and inspire our New Business team (3 people), driving exceptional team performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new landlords to Umega, utilising advanced sales methods to drive growth.
  • Monitor, report, and analyse performance metrics to optimise success.

Retain and Understand Leaving Landlords

  • Proactively broker deals to retain landlords considering leaving Umega.
  • Collaborate with other Operations Managers and team leaders to understand why landlords leave, addressing root causes to improve service levels.

Drive Sales Excellence

  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in sales and customer engagement.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to shape the future of our business, ensuring growth targets are met or exceeded.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement, delivering solutions that strengthen our market position.

EXPERIENCE:

  • People management: 5 years (preferred)
  • Customer service: 5 years (required)
  • Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Role

Salary: From £35,000-£40,000 per year (depending on experience)
