EDINBURGH LIVING

Umega Lettings are working with Edinburgh Living to manage the day to day of their large portfolio of Mid-Market properties across Edinburgh. Umega and Edinburgh living are working closely together to provide secure and stable homes, not just properties. Edinburgh Living is owned by the City of Edinburgh Council in partnership with Scottish Futures Trust meaning every property available to rent are owned by them directly.

MID-MARKET RENT

Mid-Market rental properties are homes available to rent to households on low-middle incomes.  The rental values for these properties are set lower than private rent but higher than local council or housing association rent.  These homes offer the safety and security of a long-term let and at a fair rent in various locations across Edinburgh.  Mid-market rental properties are available to those within the below household earnings brackets:

 

  • Minimum household income £18,500
  • Single person with no children-Maximum earnings £27,600
  • Couple with no children-Maximum earnings £41,200
  • Single person with children under 14- Maximum earnings £49,400
  • Couple with children under 14- Maximum earnings £63,000

 

 

EDINBURGH LIVING HOMES

Edinburgh Living properties offers modern properties in a range of sizes from one bedroom flats to four bedroom houses.  All properties are designed to be energy efficient, close to local amenities and travel routes.  All Edinburgh Living properties are neutrally decorated and unfurnished.  Floor and window coverings aswell as white goods are also provided.

EDINBURGH LIVING FAQ's

Your monthly rent will be paid in advance, directly to Umega by direct debit.

Rents are reviewed once a year and only increased in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI), meaning no surprising rent increases

A security deposit equal to one month’s required (on top of the first month’s rent) at the start of your tenancy. Your security deposit will be protected within an approved Tenancy Deposit Scheme under the Tenancy Deposit (Scotland) Regulations.

All of our mid-market rent homes are let unfurnished. Walls are painted white, with neutral flooring throughout. These homes are spacious with large windows to let in plenty light and with energy efficient heating systems to keep utility bills low. The modern kitchens are furnished with a gas or electric oven, job, washing machine and fridge freezer. Most homes also have a dishwasher. The main bathrooms in our homes offer a full-sized bath, with overhead shower and heated towl rail and some of our larger houses also have a shower room at ground floor level, whole some flats have an en-suite bathroom

We’ll organise an annual safety inspection of your home and we’ll arrange regular  inspections of all gas and electrical installations. If you have any maintenance requests please inform us through our online maintenance portal here.
