Over the last 14 years, we’ve helped revolutionise the way people are treated in Edinburgh’s private rented sector and we’re just getting started. We continue to grow at pace in the lettings sector and we’ve now made the move into selling homes, including selling new homes for a house builder. Things are getting really exciting. Why is this role important?
Communicating how we roll, and what we stand for, both internally and externally, needs more than just words. How we present UMEGA in graphics, photos and videos helps people understand the spirit in which we work, which in turn makes others want to be part of what we’re doing; this goes for employees, customers, other great businesses and anyone else who crosses paths with us. Bringing our company to life through media and marketing is a key part of our future successes.
How does the role fit in?
We’ve created pretty decent foundations on how we communicate internally and externally but we’re looking for someone to come in, to flex their creative passion and flair and take our comms to the next level. We’re ambitious and we want to make some serious waves in the housing sector so it’s time for our comms to kick-on and this role will have a key part in us doing that.
You’ll be working and collaborating directly with Andy; UMEGA founder, owner and director. You’ll be in the co-pilot seat as we execute ambitious and exciting market strategies. You’ll need the skills, the mindset and the appetite for the role of a lifetime; a chance to gain a ton of experience and a front row seat in creating and executing a high-impact comms strategy.
Skills and Experience we’re looking for
You should be a graphic design all-rounder with a breadth of experience and a willingness to get stuck into new areas you may not have worked in before including; video editing, website management (wordpress) and social media management. The key skills we’re looking for are;
- Ability to deliver high quality, exciting visual content for external and internal promotion
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Excellent creative, written and communication skills
- Must be adaptable, able to multitask several creatives projects while being able to create, plan and prioritise
