In 2024 (and beyond), we are continuing to grow our successful Lettings, Estate Agency & Home Repairs businesses, and we’re on the lookout for a highly skilled photographer and videographer to help us achieve our ambitious goals.
This is a full time, permanent, employed role. Although we have some flexibility on when you work, you will be visiting properties throughout Edinburgh and the surrounding areas to capture them for marketing purposes, which will need to be done during daylight hours.

We are looking to hire a skilled and ambitious person who is willing to push the boundaries and to try new things to help promote our properties better than any other estate agent; showcasing them to potential buyers in a unique and eye-catching way.
You’ll be working within our internal marketing team, and alongside our estate agency team, to generate exceptional property marketing materials to be used for advertising on our website and property portals, and for sharing on our popular social media and digital channels.

Another aspect of your role will be to capture the Umega team at work across our Estate Agency, Lettings and Home Repairs businesses, so we can share interesting and engaging content on our social channels and bring our brochures, website and other promotional materials to life.
Our in-house creative content team
To help drive our growth across all 3 businesses we need to be memorable to customers and potential customers. This role will play an important part in our in-house creative team and you’ll make a large contribution towards our marketing strategy by providing striking marketing content for our people and our properties. We don’t want you to stop here. We want you to play an active, dynamic role in building and developing our marketing strategy by bringing your own ideas to the table and pushing the boundaries to capture and deliver striking content that showcases who we are as a business to an external audience.
Videographer & Photographer Responsibilities
- Work to a brief outlined by our estate agency team for the property content to be captured via video and photograph
- Utilise our Giraffe360 cameras to create digital floorplans and virtual tours of properties to be sold
- Capture outstanding photo and video content of our propertie including local area shots and drone shots
- Create high quality marketing materials for our property portfolio, to be used in property advertising, including exciting, attention grabbing video content and walkthroughs of our properties
- Work with the wider marketing team to create property and people-related content for our social media channels and promotional materials
- Actively contribute to our marketing strategy by engaging with our plans and bringing your own ideas to help push us towards our goals

- Are a highly skilled videographer/photographer who can share examples of your work
- Are bursting with passion for creating stand-out photo and video content (property experience is not essential, but a genuine enthusiasm for capturing property content is!)
- Have an eye for detail and take any opportunity to capture and create exciting and engaging content
- Have the creative flair and design capabilities to create slick, well-produced videos and photos
- Enjoy staying up to date with the latest video/photography social media trends
- Have a positive energy and strong desire to grow, learn, and continuously improve (we’re in this together and we want to learn with you)
- Have proven experience managing your own workload and prioritising effectively
- Are a proactive and energetic team player who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment

- Are willing to spend some of your time working in our Edinburgh office, although this role will predominantly be mobile, working out of properties across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas, and from your own home
- Are happy to work Full time, 37 hours per week with a work pattern to be agreed, although this will predominantly need to be on a Mon-Fri schedule
- Hold a driving licence which is valid in the UK – driving is essential in this role, and access to your own vehicle which can be used for work purposes is desirable (mileage will be paid)
