Wake Up. Kick Ass. Repeat.

It’s the message on the reusable cups we leave for our new tenants. But it’s more than just a phrase, it’s an ethos and what makes us tick.

Now more than ever, we need to live up to this message.

The private rented sector in Edinburgh is more important than it’s ever been, because people’s homes have been even more important to them than ever before as we’ve navigated the past 18 months. Our team continually work hard to support our tenants to feel secure and happy in their homes, and our landlords to feel safe in the knowledge that their property is in good hands. If they’ve got 99 problems, their property shouldn’t be one! Supporting the people we work closest with (tenants, landlords, and each other) is at the heart of everything we do at Umega, regardless of which team you work in.

Being super-responsive to the needs of our tenants and landlords is the basis for our customer relationships, which then strengthen through building trust by honouring our commitments and looking after people.

This is where you come in.

We’re on the hunt for bar-raisers, go-getters and self-starters to make an impact at our rapidly expanding, and game-changing business. We are a fast-growing company, in an exciting stage of development and growth.

Our maintenance team have navigated a difficult year brilliantly. Despite spending some time on furlough while restrictions didn’t allow them to work in people’s homes, they’ve come back to work with a bang, breaking their own records and working hard to service as many customers as quickly as possible. We’re now looking to expand this team to allow us to fulfil more of this work, faster.

The Role.

Our Maintenance Technicians spend their days on-the-go, carrying out a variety of home repairs and safety certificates in our rental properties. We have a portfolio of 1500+ managed properties across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas – covering everything from studio flats to family homes, to HMOs. The jobs are varied and the days are never dull!

Our team of Technicians are representatives for Umega when visiting our properties, so we’re looking for personable professionals with a can-do attitude and a desire to deliver a great service to our customers. The successful candidate will be a strong team-player, have relevant customer service experience and great communication skills – liaising with customers and the rest of our team is a huge part of the role.

You’ll also need a solid DIY skill-set and proven experience in a similar role. We will provide you with the tools you need to succeed, including a phone, iPad & van (a full, clean driving license is essential).
