Having an in-house home repairs team allows us to be super-responsive to issues that arise within our managed properties, getting round quickly to fix problems before they grow arms and legs. Our home repairs team are well-connected to our portfolio management team, allowing them to understand issues from both a landlord and tenant’s point of view, through years attending to these types of issues. This means they understand the importance of rectifying issues quickly, while keeping costs within budget. Having direct access to those carrying out the repairs also allows us to maintain a high level of quality control and any disputes or confusion about work can be tackled head on as everything is contained under one roof. Due to the experience and infrastructure of the wider Umega team, landlords and tenants can be assured that they’ll benefit from a high level of customer service (something that is often lacking within the handyman and tradesman sector), from those who book in the jobs through to those who visit their property and carry out the repair.

As our portfolio has grown, so too has our home repairs team and we now have 8 home repairs technicians in our team, available to take care of a wide range of handyman type tasks around the home and with some specialising in specific trades.

We now offer our home repairs team’s services to property owners outwith the Umega managed portfolio through our company Umega Home Repairs. This means that not only existing Umega customers can use our services on the own homes, but they can also refer our services to their friends, their friends friends, and anyone else really (that’s everyone!) who has a repairs to-do list piling up in their home and doesn’t know who to go to get these sorted.
