It’s been an amazing 2018 for Umega. We’ve worked hard, improved service, smashed negative stereotypes of letting agents and moved closer to our goal of becoming one of the best small businesses to work for in the world.
We’ve been thinking a lot this year about the future of our company and in order for us to become one of the best small businesses to work for in the world, we must create one of the best offices and working environments in the world for our team. We’ve been exploring options around Edinburgh that would give us enough space and the right environment to take us forward. I’m delighted to say that after 18 months of hard work and negotiations, we’ve finalised a new 10 year lease on our future home located on street level in Lister Square of Edinburgh’s Quartermile, just a short walk across the Meadows from where our Marchmont Office HQ is currently.
Work is underway on the fit out and we expect to be moving in around April. Once we have moved to Lister Square we will be closing our Marchmont Office and bringing our two branches together under one roof in what will be a state-of-the-art work space. We’re super-excited to be moving into such a modern, flexible work space which will allow our special culture to flourish.
We’ll keep you posted in the run-up to our big move and expect a big launch event once the new premises is finished!
